Before you start selecting furniture for your dorm, take some time to think it out. Ask yourself these questions:

I)      What will be your primary use of the dorm?

II)    How do you want it to look when it’s done?

III)   Which and how many mp3s, videos, pictures and general multimedia items do you want/need in the dorm?

IV)  Give thought and vision as to how you want the furniture placed in the room? (this is very important for our builders to know)

V)   Which and how many web links will you be linking to objects in the room. List them on a sheet of paper.

Now that you've put a little thought into how you want your room to look, function and feel, the following steps will get you going designing your dorm space!

SELECTING FURNITURE & BUILDING MATERIALS

1)    Click on the dorm room furnishing page and begin selecting “objects,” the furniture and items you want in your room.

2)     Describe your floor plan layout in as much detail as possible.

3)    Click on the submit button at the bottom of the page to submit your furniture choice and floor plan description.

4)    Once received, a build approval email will be sent to you informing you on the designs approximate start and completion times.

Building materials used to construct in the virtual world are called "objects." You have a total of 30 object pieces to complete your room design.

Standard Objects:

Below are the objects that come standard in each room. Excluding standard objects, floors, walls and ceilings, all other objects you select are part of your 30 count.
